The Challenge

Set at the threshold of the iconic Seven Mile Bridge, Isla Bella Beach Resort is a contemporary luxury retreat in the heart of the Florida Keys.

In early 2025, they faced a challenge – compete with 11% less budget in a short booking window market. The solution was to innovate.

By integrating a Weather API into Google Ads, the resort turned its greatest asset – Florida sunshine – into a live selling point, connecting emotionally with travelers and driving direct bookings more efficiently.

INNOVATION STRATEGY
Do more with less – with 11% less budget YoY, we needed an innovative solution to compete in a short booking window market. By integrating real-time weather data into Google Ads, our goal was to turn Florida sunshine into a live selling point and drive direct bookings more efficiently.

WEATHER AS A TRIGGER
Leverage Isla Bella’s natural advantage – sunshine and oceanfront paradise – by dynamically pulling the current Florida Keys temperature into ad headlines, creating urgency and emotional connection with travelers searching from colder climates.

RESULTS
Despite spending less, Weather Ads outperformed traditional campaigns across every key metric. Florida sunshine – an obvious benefit, yet rarely used as a measurable trigger – became the lead motivator. Seeing “Currently 80°F in Paradise” while searching from a snow-covered city turned browsing into booking.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT
The campaign proved that with innovation and creativity, smaller budgets can deliver outsized results. Isla Bella didn’t just advertise rooms – it sold today’s sunshine.
